Description
Edward, king of England, lord of Ireland and duke of Aquitaine writes to the sheriff of Berwick commanding and enjoining him that as soon as he sees these letters to cause to be provided two carts, or two wagons of sea coals, 40 stone of iron and one hundred pieces of steel, and send them to the king without delay to Jedburgh, where he is, by Henry of Gateshead and John of Ireland, the bearers. Any charges which he incurs the king shall cause to be allowed in his account.
