Description
Robert de Maudlee, knight, makes known that he has received from Sir Robert Heron and Master John of Weston, clerks, receivers of the stores of his lord the king in Berwick, between 27 June and 8 Sept. 1299, for the provisioning of his castle of Dirleton and for his abode and that of his troops in Berwick, by the command of Sir Walter of Langton, bishop of Chester and treasurer of the king, 100s. in coin, to be paid into the wardrobe of the king whenever the treasurer shall please.
