Description
The king writes to the keeper of his villa of Berwick, noting that as he has granted that the villa of Berwick is a free burgh and the men in it are free burgesses, and that the major and baillies are chosen from among themselves, and other names liberties and privileges; the king has established all these privileges to the said burgh.
