Description
Edward, king of England, lord of Ireland and duke of Aquitaine, writes to the people of the castle, villa and sheriffdom of Dumbarton, saying that he has appointed his sworn-man, John of Menteith, as keeper of the castle, villa and said sheriffdom and commands that they obey him in everything.
