Description
The king to the sheriff of Cumberland. William de Ros of Wark has complained that though he lately recovered seisin of his manor of Cargon before the justices of assize at Penrith, against William of Carlisle, the later has again unjustly disseised him. The king commands the sheriff to go there in person with the keepers of the crown pleas and a jury and if he finds the complaint true to commit William of Carlisle to prison until special orders and farther to assess William de Ros's damages and levy them on William of Carlisle's lands and chattels.
