Description
The king to the chancellor, having charged the bishop of St Andrews not to leave Scotland, on account of many important affairs touching that kingdom, chiefly to avoid the danger of souls that might chance through his absence – yet as he is personally summoned to the next General Council, the king commands the chancellor to write to the pope to excuse the bishop’s absence, as he promised.
