List of men at arms in the retinue of John de St John on the king’s service in Scotland. Sir Roger of Kirkpatrick, with 5 horses, Sir Donald Campbell with 2 horses. 5 other knights, named. 36 names follow, including those of Dougal and Fergus Macdowell, and Robert Graham. There are 13 further names, 6 being knights, each with one or two horses, ‘to be with John de St John day and knight’, including Sir Humphrey de Bois and Sir Thomas de Torthorwald. Sir William de Ponton and 12 soldiers, named, who have staying in the king’s service at Roxburgh.
