Description
Letter from [blank] to King Edward I, Sir James de Molton is dwelling in the company of Sir Henry de Percy and Sir Robert de Clifford in the war in Scotland with horses and arms and has been ordered by common summons to be with the king on the morrow of the octave of St John. Asks that he may be excused on that date. Percy and Clifford will certify that he has been in the king’s service since he came to Scotland, in their company, and is ready to go to the king at his command. Carlisle.
