Description
Account of Gilbert de Bromely, king’s receiver at Carlisle, from 8 July 1311 until 7 July 1312. Sir Dougal Macdowell, sheriff of Dumfries and constable of the castle, for the munition of the same by the hands of Fergus Macdowell, his brother, receiver at Holm, and John of Monrethe, his clerk, receiver at Dumfries, named goods. John Comyn, for the munition of his castle of Dalswinton, by the hands of Thomas Gerard, his constable, on 29 July, named goods. Sir Nicholas de Vieuxpont, and ten other knights of Sir Robert Clifford, paid for their chargers lost in a raid towards Faringley under Sir Robert in Nov. 1311.
