Description
Master Thomas de Lugoure, going to Winchester at the king’s command to arrange with others of the council for the making of processes against the bishops of St Andrews and Glasgow, for his expenses from 8 April – 16 Oct. 1306, staying at Winchester for 12 days going thence to the papal curia with processes and returning. To the same for various other expenses on this journey. By account made with him at Carlisle, 31 Mar. 1307 To John de Claxton, warden, and Thomas de Pontefract, friars minor, for expenses in going to Scotland to enquire into the death of John Comyn, at the church of the friars minor at Dumfries, and returning, paid by John de Winton as witnessed by their receipt delivered to the wardrobe at Carlisle 21 June 1307.
