- Adam of Glasham, defendant, has a day now for the hearing of his judgement against Christina of Edinburgh on the plea of trespass; and the same did not come. Thus he is distrained so that he may be at the next court, etc.
Nicholas son of Stephen, plaintiff, offered himself against John Scott; that the same John on the last day of St Luke past impounded certain of his black oxen unjustly, to his loss of 12d. And therefore he leads suit, etc.
And the same John came and defended the force, etc., and all that he denies everything he is charged with, and is at law. Pledge of law: John Burrel.
Adam of Glasham, defendant, essoined (i.e., excused) himself against Thomas the engineer, plaintiff, on the plea of trespass and against all others, ‘by Stephen Joppesone’, as being ill on the appointed day. Pledge: John Burrel.
Thomas Cissor (i.e., the tailor) essoined himself against William the fuller by Robert Ediessone on a plea of trespass. And he has a day at the next court. Pledge: John Burrel.
