Description
The king commands the bailiffs of Scarborough to pay to William Scott of Dundonald, John of the Hull of Fawside, John Taylor of Gobysky and Henry of Stirling, Scottish prisoners who surrendered in the castle of Stirling, and were delivered by John Balant, master of the ship ‘La Katerine’ of Saltcote, to John Sampson, constable of Scarborough castle on 6th August last, 2d. per day each from that date, as the constable has no funds wherewith he can pay them himself.
