Description
Privy seal writ from King Edward I to Aymer de Valence, his lieutenant in Scotland. Orders him to hold an inquisition to find the truth of this, the yearly value of the wardship and whether, without wronging anyone, the king can give it to whom he pleases until the said heir [sic] comes of age, and the heir’s age.
