Description
A petition to the King and Council by Eble de Mountz, showing that William of Hop-Kailzie's land, held in chief of the king in the county of Peebles, cannot be worked because of William’s poverty, and he has let it to the petitioner, who begs the king’s leave to enter and hold it for the same services etc. now due, and this by the consent of the same William. His rent to the king for the same is 11 merks 8 shillings yearly.
