Description
Robert, king of Scots, to his chamberlain of Scotland and his officers, notifying that he has instructed his grieves and baillies of the burgh of Rutherglen (LAN) to make the annual payments of a) 40s. to the church of Glasgow at the customary terminals (dates) for maintaining the lights in the church, b) 100s. for maintaining a chaplain there, and c) 6 marks for supporting a deacon and a subdeacon there, as were customary in the time of King Alexander III. He instructs and commands the chamberlain and his officers to make allowance for these payments.
