- Robert, king of Scots, has given to Melrose abbey, his whole land and tenement of Lessudden (ROX), in free and perpetual alms, with services, customs and neyfs of the land, as owed in the time of his predecessors lord Alexander III, king of Scotland, and lady Marie, queen of Scotland his mother, saving prayers.
