Description
Robert, king of Scots, has given Lesmahagow priory ten marks from his mills of Carluke (LAN), in pure and perpetual alms, so that the monks may provide eight candles of one stone of wax each in perpetuity around the tomb of St Machutus, to burn every Sunday and on the customary feastdays as in the cathedral churches and collegiate churches in the kingdom of Scotland.
