Description
Robert, by the grace of God, king of Scots, has given the Friars Preachers (Blackfriars) of Perth in the name of endowment of their church by Lord Alexander [III} king of Scotland of good memory his predecessor for the support and lighting of the said church and all their other works necessary for the divine worship, 44 marks in perpetuity, half from his rents of Perth and the other half from the new custom called maltolte of the vills of Dundee and Perth, on Pentecost and Martinmas, starting on the next Pentecost. He also firmly commands and instructs the chamberlain of Scotland, the grieves and baillies and customars of Perth and of Dundee to allocate and make the above payments.
