Robert, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful William Oliphant knight for his homage and service the whole lands of Newtyle and Kinpurney in the sheriffdom of Forfar, with all the liege and native men (neyfs), holding in feu and heritage in free barony for the fourth part of the service of a knight in his army.
