Description
Robert, king of Scots, to William Lindsay his chamberlain of Scotland, noting that his burgesses of Perth were before him at Dundee on the Sunday before the feast of the nativity of St John the Baptist regarding their liberty that no ship coming beyond Drumlay (Abertay sands) with merchandise should unload or break bulk until it reaches Perth bridge, unless it either carries goods of Dundee men or in the time of the Dundee fair. He commands him to maintain the burgesses of Perth in this.
