Description
Robert, king of Scots, to Bernard abbot of Arbroath his chancellor of Scotland, noting that he has truly understood that the English inimically and wretchedly tore off and carried away the seals from certain charters of his religious men the abbot and convent of Scone, commands the chancellor to form a commission from his chapel to lord Maurice, by the grace of God, bishop of Dunblane and to himself to examine the charters that the abbey still has, as well as into those that were totally removed and to renew the lands, renders, possessions and liberties through his charters in the form of the king's chapel.
