Description
Robert, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful Nicholas Scrymgeour the office of royal standard-bearer, and the lands of 'Hillfielde', 'Suthbordeland' and 'Marisland' in the barony of Inverkeithing (FIF), with the wind and water mills of Inverkeithing, which lands had belonged to Roger de Mowbray knight who forfeited them to the king; holding in feu and heritage, for the service of two men to carry the king's standards, for whom the king will find horses, saving to the king ward, relief of the lands and mills, and the marriages of Nicholas' heirs. He also grants that they may be free of suit of court and other customs.
