Description
Robert, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful Thomas Charteris (de Carnoto) an annual rent of 10 marks which the late John Comyn earl of Buchan used to collect from the tenement of Uras (KCD) in the sheriffdom of Kincardine, and which was a forfeiture of war, and two thirds of which was resigned by Hugh earl of Ross by staff and baton in front of the nobles of the realm at Aberdeen, and the third part of which was granted to Thomas hereditarily by charter; holding the entire annual rent together with the lordship ('dominium') of the said land of Uras, in feu and heritage.
