Description
Robert, king of Scots, has inspected and truly understood the charter of Lord Edward, by the grace of God, king of Ireland, his beloved brother, finding it neither erased, destroyed nor damaged in any way, in the following words [Charter of Edward king of Ireland giving John of Carlton the pennylands of Dailly , Carr, Enoch, Trochrague (AYR) in feu and heritage rendering three lances at the chief manor of Turnberry on Christmas and making three suits of his court at Girvan.] King Robert approves and ratifies and establishes this charter in perpetuity.
