- Watt, Graduates, 450: His surname indicates origins in Picardy, France, but it is more likely that he was a Scot whose family had come from there earlier. He was, though, a canon of Abbeville (Somme), thus his family still had connections there. He is first found at the papal court at Lyon in 1245. He was a canon of Dunkeld and was also described as clerk of Bishop William of Bondington of Glasgow and Picard may have been employed as his proctor at the curia. He returned to France on other occasions, perhaps after 1246, but returned to Scotland in the 1260s when he appears in a St Andrews context. He also appears as a canon of Moray in 1266. He is not found after June 1276.
