Ralph Kerneth, prior of Durham (d.1234)

Biography
Fasti Ecclesiae Anglicanae 1066-1300, ii, 32-36: Ralph Kermet (or Kerneth) was said to have been elected prior of Durham in 1214 but his predecessor, William of Durham, did not die until May 1218. He first occurs on 29 September 1218 and again on 10 December 1218. He died on 4 March 1234. In 1232 he had been granted a papal dispensation to hold any dignity except bishop, 'notwithstanding his illegitimacy'.
