Watt and Shead, Heads, 117, 182: Hugh occurs as prior of Restenneth in August × December 1198 and was in this position when he succeeded as abbot of Jedburgh in 1205, after 7 August. As abbot of Jedburgh he occurs on 18 April 1209×1211, perhaps 1209.
