- Robert, king of Scots, has inspected and has truly understood of three charters of Edgar and a fourth charter of David [I], kings of Scotland, and a fifth charter of the earl of Dunbar, and found it neither cancelled nor erased nor in any way damaged, quoted in full:

3) Edgar
4) David
5) Earl Patrick [I] of Dunbar
(Raine, North Durham, nos. 2, 3, 4, 15, 116).
The king approves, ratifies, and establishes in perpetuity these charters of donation, concession, and confirmation through all liberties, commodities, and customs, as freely as in the time of King Alexander III.
