Description
David, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful William Bartholomew, burgess of Edinburgh, that land called 'le Quarelpottis' lying on the south side of his burgh of Edinburgh, on the north side of the church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and that acre of land lying between the land of Blessed Leonard on the east and that which is held of the master of the house of Soutra on the other, due to the forfeiture of Thomas Harper, the king's enemy and rebel against his faith and peace in England; holding in feu and heritage, for service owed and wont.
