Description
David, king of Scots, has approved, ratified, and confirmed in perpetuity that confirmation, donation or concession which his beloved and faithful John Maxwell, knight, made to his beloved Roger of Auldton of the land of Wester Softlaw, with the remission of the annual render of 12d or one pair of gilt spurs from the lands of Wester Softlaw in the sheriffdom of Roxburgh, as the charter and letter of the aforesaid John Maxwell attests.
