Description
Robert, bishop of St Andrews, for Kelso Abbey; at the request of King David he has granted the church of Kelso (ROX) which King David erected into an abbey to be free from all subjection and exaction. The abbot and monks may receive their chrism, oil and ordination and the rest of the sacraments from whichever bishop they wish in Scotia or Cumbria.
