Description
The abbot and convent of Dunfermline for Adam of Blair; with assent of chapter, have given land of 'Balbaird' (Newburn, FIF) which had been held by Hugh, son of Leving, and in addition 13 measured acres of land nearest to said land on east; abbey also grants a house in Upper Newburn beside great road which goes towards St Andrews on west, with toft and croft of an acre and with common pasture. Adam will be quit and free from payment of multure of all land that they improve and plough at their own expense; his men shall grind at abbey's mill at neighbouring ditch and they shall make no work towards restoration of ponds and mills.
