Description
Roger de Quincy has granted, and established by his present charter, to Newbattle Abbey the grange of Preston of the territory of Tranent (ELO) in free, pure and perpetual alms, with all the adjacent land and all its pertinents, easements and increments, which his grandfather Robert de Quincy gave and by his charter established, with charcoal pit (carbonaria) and quarry, and all other things given and added by all the charters and confirmations of his aforesaid grandfather and father.
