Description
Gilbert, earl of Strathearn, announces that William, bishop of St Andrews, has amicably settled a dispute, with his assent and will, and that of his heir, Robert, between Abraham, bishop of Dunblane, and Sir Guy, abbot, and the monks of Lindores Abbey, over the church of Muthill (PER), according to the terms of the authentic instrument agreed between them. The earl has taken upon himself and his heirs the burden of military service which is due from the land of Exmagirdle (PER), which has been assigned to Lindores Abbey in perpetuity for an annual rent of 6 marks.
