- Pope Innocent III writes to the abbots of Lindores and Arbroath and the prior of May, St Andrews diocese, stating that the abbot and convent of Dunfermline have revealed to him a complaint against the abbot and canons of Cambuskenneth, St Andrews diocese, concerning certain teinds which they claim pertain to their church from Stirling and concerning the chapel of Dunipace, and who had brought [this] into court before the bishop of Dunblane and his fellow judges-delegate, and for more than five years had attempted to infringe the conditions of a compromise made between the parties through the influence of the bishop of St Andrews and his colleagues, against the oaths provided. Innocent thus commands them to make both parties observe the composition and cause what is decreed to be observed firmly by ecclesiastical censure. If all of them cannot take part in carrying this out, let two of them do it.
