Description
[Pandulph, bishop-elect of Norwich and papal legate notifies that] on the morrow of St Peter ad vincula, Sir Alexander, king of Scotland, for his part, and S[tephen] de Segrave, knight, procurator for Sir Henry, king of England, appeared in his presence at Norham, concerning the case, which they hoped to overthrow before him from the special mandate of the pope, of the composition being considered between John, king of England, of good memory, and William, king of Scotland, their fathers. Thus, from the consent of the king of Scotland and S., procurator of the king of England, peace is made, on the morrow of All Souls, after the feast of All Saints, between the said kings. And, if peace is not able to be provided, it shall be proceeded in the case, just as it shall be proceeded by right.
