Document 2/145/2 (Inchaff. Chrs., no. 89)

Description
Pope Urban IV writes to the abbot and convent of Inchaffray, noting the petition from them concerning the dispute between them and the master and brethren of the Hospital of SS James and John of Brackley (Northants) concerning certain teinds and other matters. An agreement was made through the intervention of the late bishop of Dunblane, in whose diocese the teinds lay, and the bishop of St Andrews, which agreement the abbot and convent petitioned should be fortified by apostolic protection. The pope thus establishes it.
