Description
William de Brus has given and granted, and by his charter established, to Adam of Carlisle, son of Robert, Kinmount (DMF) by stated marches, and above ‘Gillemartinebech’, common pasture with that of ‘Millebi’, and one mill; to be held of him and his heirs, in feu and heritage, for the service of a quarter knight, saving his hunting, for his homage and service, in exchange for Lockerbie (DMF), which Robert de Brus, his father, gave to Robert, Adam’s father, for his homage and service.
