Description
Brice of Ardrossan has given, granted and established by this present charter in perpetuity to Inchaffray Abbey, for the welfare of the souls of himself and his lord, of good memory, the late Malise (II), late earl of Strathearn, those 16 acres of land next to the abbey’s bridge on the east side, in the field which is called ‘Langflath’, with all its pertinents and easements, which his lord, the late Earl Malise (II) of Strathearn, donated and granted to him in exchange for the land of ‘Cullath’, which the earl assigned to the church of Dunblane in perpetuity, with his consent. Holding and having in perpetuity, in pure and perpetual alms, free and quit from all secular exaction, custom and demand.
