Description
Robert son of Wernebald has given, granted and by this present charter established to Kelso Abbey the church of Kilmaurs in his villa of Cunningham (AYR) with one-half ploughgate of land pertaining to the church itself and with everything justly pertaining to the church, for the salvation of his soul and for the salvation of his ancestors and successors. Additionally, the monks received him into their fraternity and if he wishes to transform his life before his death (i.e. become a monk), he can transform it by the consent of the monks. At his death, he gave to Kelso Abbey two parts of his substance which pertains to him.
