Description
Robert, son of Warnebald, and Richenda, his spouse, have given, granted, and by this their charter established in free and perpetual alms to Arbroath Abbey, because of their support in their great need, all of their feu in the parish of Fordoun in the Mearns (KCD), namely the two Tippertys, Glenfarquhar, Kinkell, ‘Culbac’ (now Newlands) and Monboddo, by their right bounds, and with all their just pertinents, holding free and quit, saving the forinsec service of the lord king in the army and common aids, for which the said monks will respond.
