Darnaway Castle, Earl of Moray Muns., 32/V/II/47 Malcolm’s father Ewen was the son of Duftach the priest, who witnessed charters in the 1160s. Ewen himself witnessed charters of the bishops of Dunkeld from Richard I (1170-78) to Hugh de Sigillo (1214-30), usually described as clerk but eventually becoming rector of Clunie.
