Description
Philip of Pitcox makes known that because the ten acres of land in ‘Beleside’ (beside Biel Water in Stenton, ELO) which he gave to the monks of Melrose, and his son Philip confirmed to them, in the stretch near their land of ‘Edmundiston’ (in Stenton, ELO), from the Biel as far as ‘Drituede’, is hindering an agreement between him and Roger de Merley made at the time of the donation, he was not able to extend [the donation].
