Description
King William to William, son of Hugh Giffard; has given Yester (ELO), as William's father, Hugh, held it in the lifetime of Countess Ada, king's mother, and in king's time; whole of Lethington (ELO), that is, that part which Ralph de Boseville held and that part which William de Bellencombre held; land beside River Tyne bounded by specified marches; that part of Yester which Gamel held, which Eggu, who held it at ferme, quitclaimed to king; one toft in burgh of Crail (FIF), which Aernald Kiglepeni first built, together with buildings of Richard Frere and David, the priest, and Ulkil of Pittenweem; one toft in Haddington
