Notes
Easson, Coupar Angus Chrs. I, 24, says grantor is Adam Albus of Forfar, who witnessed several deeds of this date. This fits with one of the witn. to this, William royal clerk, but another, Peter royal clerk, is unknown. Easson continues that the ‘monks of Forfar’ may have been the ‘two Cistercians who were to serve the chapel on an island in Forfar loch (no. 25)’
