Description
King William binds himself to pay to his lord, King John of England, in four equal instalments of 3,750 marks each, the sum of 15,000 marks, on dates given, that is, 30 Nov. 1209, 6 June 1210, 30 Nov. 1210 and 22 May 1211; in order to observe agreements made between himself and King John as established in charters issued by both parties. To ensure payment, he has given to King John the keeping of hostages he already has, named in said charters, except for his two daughters whom he has now released to King John
