Description
Bertram son of Henry of Ulston (ROX) has quitclaimed, granted, and by this his present charter established, to Waltheof Kokes, his relative (consanguineo meo), those two oxgangs of land in the territory of Ayton le Bas (BWK), for which he impleaded by the letters of the lord king, and all right which he had in the said two oxgangs, for a certain sum of money which Waltheof conferred on him in his urgent need. Bertram has sworn on the holy Gospels in the full court of the lord prior of Coldingham at Ayton.
