Description
On [17 June 1296, at Stirling], in the presence of the witnesses written above, and of the undersigned Notary, the lord William of Ruthven, knight, attaining the trust and good will of the king of England, annulled any allicances, contracts, agreements, and pacts entered into against the king of England with the king of the French, and expressly renounced them; having touched and kissed the most holy gospels, he performed fealty to his lord the king of England; and respecting his fealty thus performed, he made letters patent sealed with his own pendant seal.
