- Description
- In the year [1296] and indicion [9] recorded before, on 7 July, in the presence of the lords Walter de Beauchamp, John Tregotz, Thomas of Bicknor, and John Merk, knights, and of the Notary written below, at Farnell, William Fraser, son of the late Alexander Fraser, came to the trust and goodwill of the lord king of England, and annulled any alliances etc. ever entered into with the king of the French against the king of England; and having taken hold of and kissed the holy gospels, he performed fealty to the king of England; and upon his fealty he made his letters patent, sealed with his authentic pendant seal.
