Description
Robert, king of Scots, has inspected and, with competent deliberation, truly understood the donations and confirmations of William, late king of Scotland, concerning the lands and churches, burgages, tofts and returns which were granted to Arbroath Abbey [RRS, ii, no. 513; 1/6/479]. The king approves, ratifies, and by the tenor of the present charter establishes, the donations, grants and confirmations as contained within this charter.
